Loft find!!!!!!!!!! (Adult content)

So, I'm clearing some space in my loft today as I'm getting plumbers in next week to reposition the water tanks etc.
It's a 1960's house and we moved in in 1990. I lifted some insulation and I found a previous owners 60’s/70’s porn collection. I see they were published by the current owner of West Ham United, David Sullivan. I tell you, it's a bit near the knuckle if you pardon the pun! Laughing

I wonder if it's worth anything to a collector? On second thoughts, I'd better get rid before the wife gets back from walking the dog. Shocked

And there's more! (Not porn, I hasten to add).

Finally found buried my vast collection of mobile phones. I used to sell them in the early eighties, hence my interest in them. Here's just a few of my collection.

Now, I have been looking high and low for a good few years for the holy grail of mobile phones, a Motorola 8000x brick phone, the first ever hand portable phone. They were over £2,500 when new and a good used one recently went for £1,800. This model is particularly rare because it has the 9 buttons on the lower keypad - the later 8000s ones were a bit cheaper had the lower central button missing. I bid on one once and bottled out at £625, it went for over a grand. If you look in the bottom left of the picture, I already had one! Better still, this one is brand new in the box complete with screen/battery covers and instructions. I can't even remember buying it! I gave it a quick charge and the battery still holds a charge. The black Motorola portable on the right was the last Motorola brick phone to be sold and it is a SIM card model. Still works with a vodafone PAYG SIM card. I have two of them, one of them is brand new and unused but they aren't worth anywhere near as much as the early models.

Better start actually clearing the loft now - spent all morning playing with phones and looking at old photo albums. Whistle Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

The 8800 isn't very collectable I'm afraid.
Anyway, I popped my cork too early - doing some research and it turns out that the one I have is a 8000M - not nearly as valuable as the X. I should have known by the lay-down cradle. Early ones have a stand-in one. Smaller led's too. Oh well, for every silver lining there's a cloud, as they say. Whistle Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

When I worked as an apprentice truck mechanic, whenever a sleeper lorry came in, the first place us apprentices looked was behind the drivers seat for his porn collection. Whistle Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
