Had a Freelander 2, SD4 auto a couple of months now and from day one I've noticed that the engine seems laboured around 1200-1500 rpm,as those it needs to change down a gear,been back to the independent garage I had it from,and no fault codes are showing.Any ideas?Thanks.

EGR issue or turbo leak comes to mind

Thanks for your reply,forgot to mention in my post,that all turbo pipes have been checked and they are all in good condition.

So check EGR leaks, if i remmber correct in low RPM it should be closed.
Easy thing to do is to blank it and see if the motor respond better.

When was your fuel filter last replaced?

It's got an up to date LR service history to 49000,so l presume the filter should have been done at the b service in 2015,but there are no invoices to show what's been done,just service stamps.
