All this from Mistsubishi, a company that makes VW look honest, hope you dont have any recall/warranty issues.

Good old Dale Vince founder of Ecotricity based in my home town Stroud - ex hippie turned capitalist. Notwithstanding you have to hand it to him, 25 years ago dragging cars from the mud at Glastonbury to amassing a fortune of £100million plus on the back of renewable energy subsidies which you and I pay for from our taxes. Clever or what. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

I'm surprised you haven't got a Mitsubishi CG - very popular with farmers I believe

mitsubishi pickup are like all the rest, build to a price, generally reliable but you get a nasty shock on parts prices if things go wrong.

I'm planning on keeping it 3 years as it's got 3 years servicing, 5 years normal warranty and 8 years battery but only kept the last RRS 2 years and the DS 8 months so don't quote me on that

Well my son exchanged his FL2 for a 6 month old Mitsubishi L200 warrior demo, 3k miles £24k leather seats 5yr warranty and all the toys. It's just as quiet as the FL2, more economical and he reckons it's better off road when in 4WD with diff lock. Three years servicing package for £700. The Mitsubishi dealership is not as smart as LR by any means but adequate and efficient. I am looking out for the Shogun Sport which looks interesting and should be available this year. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Sooner my taxes help pay to clean up the air than enable petrochemical giants to pay f-all corporation tax through dodgy offshore deals, not to mention doing business with foreign countries with questionable human rights records. Good Luck to Dale Vince, at least he didn't inherit it all from Mummy and Daddy. 2009 FL2 |

Not all the pollution! UK electricity generation is typically 'browner' in the daytime (although still greener than burning straight diesel in a car). But mostly electric vehicles get recharged at night while owners sleep when the generation mix is typically greener (and there's often spare capacity otherwise going to waste). People forget the vast amounts of electricity needed to extract, pump and refine diesel too! 2009 FL2 |

I have just returned from looking at the phev in cirencester. You got me thinking, used for short journeys only and charging at a pound a night is great. (And charging on campsites). Fuel cost would be almost zero. I nearly bought one, but Mitsubishi offered only 21000 for my hse lux. Also I found the phev looks pretty good on the outside but the interior is awful and depressing, a world apart from The freelander.

They still haven't got it right then, it's been a year since I sold mine and some of those problems were around then. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200 |
