Netherlands 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 Sport Manual Santorini Black
Tall driver. Move seat back and up

The Freelander is just a tiny bit to tight for my height.

I want to move the seat between 5-10cm back and around 3-7cm up to accomodate my leggs.

In my search I stumbled upon a US manufacturer who doesn't do this trick for Freelanders [yet]. The extra complexity might be that fixings of seats to the car are not identical left & right, resulting in the need for two types of adapter sets for LHD and RHD cars.... ..who knows these details. Idea

But given the car enthousiasts at large in the UK, I can not imagine something like this does not exist yet for the Freelander 2.. http://extendmyseat.com/install-guides/

Be ware, this only moves the seat back ; I want it to go up too... It might be that in the 10cm extra back position, the standard 'max up' is fine all together.. ..testing needed. Whistle

Please advise... Bow down Bow down Bow down [ Freelander 2 TD4e MY10 Sport manual. SVR badge engineered ] SOLD

I thought manual seats still have height adjustment? You've not stated what you currently have!
There is also implications to what you are proposing in regards to the SRS/airbag.
Both manual and electric seats (which do what your asking) have a seat location sensor which tells the RCM on the deploy rate for the airbag. MY15

@Stuartc. I have electronic controls. When I move the seat up, it also goes forward ! The airbag is no problem , since I am far away from the steering wheel ! I found some companies who offer their services for € 350 - € 600. Basicly I'd say ; put a spacer on eacht corner and lift the sucker 5 cm. Replace standard with longer bolts, would't that do the job.. Sheep [ Freelander 2 TD4e MY10 Sport manual. SVR badge engineered ] SOLD
