Wow! Treated myself to a pair of Bose QuietComfort 35 noise cancelling wireless headphones in the duty free at the airport last week before a flight so that I could listen to my music and downloaded programmes on my iPad. Worked bloody brilliantly - nice and clear and completely blocked out the engine drone. They were so good at blocking out noise that even if you are not listening to any audio through them, just switching them on brings complete silence from the airplane engines! Best of all, now we're home, I found in our electrical junk drawer a Sony TMR-BT10 portable Bluetooth audio transmitter that I bought probably 4 years ago and could never pair with anything so I thought I'd give it another go. I charged it up, paired it up with the headphones (in seconds!) and plugged it into the telly. Unbelievably clear sound but even better for me is that it blocks out the noise of the fan I have running, cars going past the house (when I have the windows open), next doors dog barking at birds and even the noise of the wife hoovering. Luckily, unlike our old telly, plugging this in does not cut the telly speakers out so wifey can have it set at a level she likes (ears like a bat, can hear a mouse fart at 100 yards etc.) and it should prevent my hearing from getting worse as I can have the sound through the earphones at a level much lower than I've ever had it in the past with no disturbances from other noise sources. I just can't hear the telly when there's other background noises and if you're the same, I'd definitely recommend them. No more teletext for me! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Couldn't agree more Steve I bought some earphones (not wireless) from the Bose shop outside the Rockafella Building in New York when I was over there last year. Saved a packet on UK prices.

^ Yes but they were an older design and when I tried them, I didn't find them as effective (still good though). The other problem was I could not lie down comfortably with headphones whereas I could with the earphones. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Why lumber yourself with an extra gaget (iPod)? When you finally sell your lady iPhone, you should also sell your corded headphones and get a wireless set. Load your music onto your iPhone 7 and Bluetooth it to the headset. https://www.bose.co.uk/en_gb/products/head...lsrc=aw.ds Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto Present: Audi A3 S Line. |

The manly iPhone you mean. Also, those in the link aren't noise cancelling by the looks of it. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Try these then although I prefer headphones to earphones - I think you get a much better sound. http://www.juno.co.uk/products/audio-techn...GwodySMAPg
