Updated- Auto box- do I have a problem?

I've been reading various threads on here about gearbox hesitation etc, and found it interesting, so hence this question.

I have an auto SD4, and it seems to show a lot of the symptoms I've read on here.

1. Reluctance to change down when accelerating at low speed.
2. 'Lurching' changes when downchanging from high speed.
3. Noticeable (just) judder when accelerating when cold. (I live at the bottom of a steep hill, so when I set off I'm straight onto an incline).
4. Hesitation when accelerating from stationary but only if I 'boot it'
5. General lack of smoothness from the box unless I'm driving like Miss Daisy. (I don't use sport mode when SWMBO is on board as the changes give her motion sickness).

Before I book it in I'd like to canvas members thoughts. Updated- Waiting for a Scotland v England 6 Nations home win. 24th Feb 2018

Something is wrong as changes should be smooth, including when in sport mode. I don't know the answer but someone will be along soon who does. Do you get the same problems using command shift?

Experience none of this.
Only thing close is delay when stationary and booting it - this is the delay whilst the gearbox selects drive from its "neutral running" condition. If I want a quick getaway, apply EPB, Foot off brake, gearbox preselects gear, launch - it's VERY noticeable and absolutely no delay!
It's the same for GRC. MY15

There is a TSB about this type of issue - I think it's here http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic24563.htm...ex+gearbox

Got it into the dealers today. No faults found on diagnositics. A bit of further work revealed that a software patch was needed for a known fault where the EGR valve was fluttering, which was the cause of the hesitation and sudden kicking in of power. All done under warranty. Not a gearbox fault.
Drives like a different car. Updated- Waiting for a Scotland v England 6 Nations home win. 24th Feb 2018
