Disc is in the unit under driver seat. Just press to eject as you would a normal DVD player. I would imagine you will get 2012 discs as they stopped using discs then. 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

Don't buy the original as it is overpriced, i bought from here
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It will also update the software itself but with minor changes, most useful one is able to cancel the navigation in one button if you want to cancel before arriving your destination, before update it was a pain

The site that was removed in my post is a legit site! from going over their "terms & conditions" it seems to me they found a loophole that allow them to stay legit.

they can say they grow cow on the moon in their T&C which we would all know its not true, but the only authorised supplier of new genuine LR Discs is LR Dealers and the LR Navigation site about

i can't disagree they are expensive, but loop holes or not the forum owner doesn't allow links Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I think it is much the same as older disks as far as functions etc. only the mapping and POI are updated.
I have the feeling there are more route options (I may be wrong)

I can do a few screen shots if you need.

I put it in the DVD below the passenger seat and autommaticly it recognize it and ask to upgrade the software, after approving upgrade it will work in the backgroung for 5 to 10 minutes and you are done.

Cheaper to fit an after market unit than pay stupid prices for a disc that will itself soon be out of date.

Agree but i like to have everything fit nicely in the cabin without wires or extra screen on the windshield, The SE models and above have original Sat nav so i assume most people would like to keep this set up working.
I also like the integration with the car, for example when fuel light is on automatically fuel stations close to you will appear on the map.

Quite a few people have fitted this unit, myself included. Garmin Nüvi 2797 LMT
Fits perfectly and looks the business. Run a usb cable into the glove box and updates are easy.
No need to fork out for daft priced discs as has lifetime free updates. It is not a great effort to touch the petrol station icon either Very Happy

out of curiosity do any members know why the original are copyrighted, the maps appear to be in public domain, google etc. issue them for free.
All dealers (not just LR)seem to charge ridicules amounts I am sure that any bright 8yr old could write an interface and add many new features
Are they written is some weird language? or what?
maybe one day someone in marketing might come up with the bright idea, that low cost or at least reasonable priced parts, would be a sales aid, and quickly passed on my the millions of DIY and small garages..
But lets face it the only good thing about the current manufacture's sat nav is they fit neatly, wouldn't it be nice if the stopped trying to beat android/microsoft and gave us a computer and just stuck to the neat fitting.
sorry to offend anyone with my motopolitically incorrect attitude and statements..
