Obviously not a permanent fault. Sounds electrical to me with the engine not firing on all cylinders - glow plugs, injectors ?? . Try a fault code scan first, may point you in the right direction. Jules |

Had that happen to me, second occasion I pushed start stop button twice as I had changed my mind about starting up and it went berserk! After pushing stop again and waiting for a couple of minutes it then behaved perfectly and has done ever since! 2000 Xei 1.8 gone
