United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Indus Silver

My battery charger only charged for half a minute before switching to Charged/Maintaining so I'm pretty certain it's not a low battery at fault. Sure enough I find the courtesy lights go off after a minute if the car's unlocked.

Today I drove for three hours so the engine was certainly up to temperaure, but the Stop/Start system still didn't kick-in. The gear change icon still works and the ECO button is always lit. Not losing sleep about it but I'd like to know what's wrong. FL2 2010 (Facelift) TD4 XS
