Haldex Issue (loss of traction control)

Whenever l switch my Freelander 2 l get an error message from the start up computer that states that l have a loss of traction control and switches off my special programmes. My local mechanic (l am currently living in Zambia) has informed me that it is a fault with my differential control module (l assume that this is the Haldex ECU). l also get the fault code U0437. Do you think that the Haldex ECU is the issue and needs replacing?

It's worth trying an oil and filter change on the Haldex first, might just be all it needs. Thumbs Up

Saw same issue at the German forum and it was sorted by changing the heldex pump (of course with filter and oil)
Apparently you can use a cheaper pump from VW

Ölfilter Haldex 30787687 Volvo (ca. 35 Eur)
Pumpe – VW 0AV598549A (ca. 240 Eur)

Taken from black landy forum, made by Havey

See thread here, unfortunately in German
