I thought all LR built in satnavs sent you on stupid routes, unless you have a fair idea where you want to go you won't get there. Laughing my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

The built-in LR sat nav is the only one I've ever used for the last 8 years and personally never found a problem with it.
Rnd2 when you say stupid directions do you mean totally the wrong direction. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

It may be worth noting that the LR sat nav route learns, if you consistently go against its directions will this affect its performance?
FWIW both my cars have been fine.

That's probably the same satnav as fitted to my Evoque. Turn off 'easy routes' if it's on - it's for doddery old gits and nervous Nora's that want to avoid roundabouts, major intersections, dual carriageways etc.... Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.

Just about to get my first Freelander (with Sat Nav). I assume you have to get an updated DVD every year or so?
