I'm new to this forum as I've just bought my first Freelander 2. Trying to find out a bit about the car, so I have located the VIN & the external colour - It's not coded, just says Sumatra Black. However, I can't find out the colour of the leather seats. They are a cream colour, but the only code I can see says LRC PLREP. What on earth does that mean?

I see your FL2 is a 2007.
So this chart is from 2006 [when Sumatra was available].

My car was manufactured in March 2007 & registered in June 2007. Strange that you say Sumatra Black was no longer available. As stated before it is marked with the words " Sumatra Black" but there is no code to back it up. Do you think my car is a different type of black? Trying to buy some colour coded handles so need to get it right. Also should there be a colour code for the leather seats? I suspect they're Alpaca but it would be nice to have coded confirmation.

If you ask Ryan in the LandRover Customer Relations section (http://www.freel2.com/forum/land-rover-cus...-vf31.html nicely, he can provide a complete build spec which gives the trim and everything else.

Register on Land Rover ToPix, it's free, you can then input your VIN number and it should give you a full build spec for your car, it may also give a model designation. When the details of your car come up use the icon top right of the screen to see the full build spec list for your car which you can print off - for some strange reason they call it "minor details" - here are mine:
