My radio stays on after I switch the engine off either until I take the key out or automatically for 10 minutes. When this happens I just press the radio button and it comes on again for another 10 minutes. I can do this a number of times but I don't know if there is a limit. Sometimes after several radio re-starts, when I start the engine the radio switches itself off then I just press the radio button and it returns to normal.

As has been said - on my car,64 plate SE, just press the button on the radio to turn the radio on when ignition is off. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Yes, i know it does that, but thats not what i need it to do, i just need the radio to stay on when i turn the engine off when sitting in traffic, no pressing any buttons , just not go off at all untill i switch it off. |

Don't think you can achieve what you want so you will have to go through the arduous task of pressing the on/off button when you turn off the ignition whilst in traffic. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Sorry can't help , if pushing the button is too difficult. I've never had a car where the radio stays on when you turn the igniton off. Maybe I've not had enough cars |

Mine is the same, 63 plate GS. When I turn the engine off I just hit the radio button! 1998 300TDi Auto Disco, never to be forgotten.

Note that on really old LandRovers you have to wait for the valves (vacuum tubes) to warm up. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
