Scotland 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Ipanema Sand
Cracks in casing - front transfer box

Hi - long story but had traded in my previous Freelander - missed it so much so now acquired a 2012 TD4 HSE and a happy camper again - however had the front under tray off to do little bit rust sorting out and noticed a few cracks in the casing of what I think is the front transfer box - sits between engine and auto box !
Anyone know if this a common issue and is it a disaster waiting to happen ?

Thanks in advance for any comments Freelander 2

I think they are casting marks, should they be cracks oil would be pouring out and some bits would have fallen out Very Happy my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

That's part of the autobox, not the transfer box.
