Hi - long story but had traded in my previous Freelander - missed it so much so now acquired a 2012 TD4 HSE and a happy camper again - however had the front under tray off to do little bit rust sorting out and noticed a few cracks in the casing of what I think is the front transfer box - sits between engine and auto box !

I think they are casting marks, should they be cracks oil would be pouring out and some bits would have fallen out |

That's part of the autobox, not the transfer box. |
