How Annoying?

Had a small coming together with a Nissan Almera earlier. Youngster speeding down a narrow lane couldn't stop and hit me head on. Apart from sore knee from lower dashboard, no injuries to anyone although couldn't believe how the Nissan completely folded up and the FL didnt come off too bad. Think its been said before that if you must have an accident, this is a good car to do it!

And there was me looking foward to a day washing and polishing before the football!

I did check that site out and the car was showing, so thanks for the tip. Fair play to the lad who was driving, he's been round with his insurance details and everything seems to be in order, but as you say, I've been there before and its amazing what changes between exchanging details and claims being paid!

Oh well, at least England won even it the scoreline flattered them!

Just found out my pride and joy is coming back on Tuesday. Turns out there was a lot more damage under the skin than expected - new radiator, fan/associated electrics, headlights, front end realigned. They also said I was lucky airbag didnt go off!

Can't wait!

i don't think he'll be testing again to find out if they do work Laughing

Doesn't the car have a airbag black box, maybe they tech's could look at it to find out the G force, impact force etc

to put them against the set values for the airbag deployment Question Question Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Now you've got me thinking!!...I've decided to work on the assumption that there was insufficient impact and the airbags are saving themselves for another day.

I'm assuming that as there was front end impact they must check them but I'll ask the reparier to verify they've been checked.

Reminds me of the time the airbag warning light came on in my Audi while driving on the M4.....I held the steering wheel right at the edge and sat right back just in case. I even phoned my mate to check if it was likely to go off!.....of course I now know that everyone except me already knew the warning light coming on indicated a fault and meant it wasn't going to go off!....doh! Embarassed
