I quite like the Meridian system in my car. At my age my hearing's gone a bit so it doesn't have to be perfect!

Stores 10 CDs, plays single CDs, plays via both USB & bluetooth, good radio. A versatile piece of kit. Nice sound. Simple. It does the job.

With the last two CDs that I've bought (who buys CDs anymore - must be an old guy) it doesn't recognise the album title or the track names. No previous problems in that area.

I don't know where to start looking for a solution.

Is there a setting that I've changed somewhere?

The CDs must have the info on them because it all shows in iTunes.

I'm just a bit baffled.

Any ideas?

In an attempt to answer my own question.....

Following an extensive internet trawl, it appears that the system uses the "Gracenote" database which needs periodic updating.

I think the retailer could do this and is probably not one of the updates that are done automatically at a service etc.

I suspect that I'll have to ask.

Probably hasn't been updated in the 4+years that I've had my car.

Have you tried burning the cd's in MP3 ? I know you shouldn't have to but

CDs can also be burnt with CD-Info on them at the time of writing, so certain players can pick them up.

I don't think the LR system is completely based around the Gracenote library or others, as I noticed a new Olly Murs album (the to-be-Mrs' - certainly not mine!) got read in properly when she ripped it to the in-car library. Given the album came out after the system had last been in for an update, it can't be linked to that.
