Hi folks, wonder if anyone can help with this one.
Took the caravan to the east coast last week.
The Freelander performed admirably.
On the way back after travelling a 100 miles, turning into my close the stabiliser started creaking loudly.
I have given the towbar a good clean and have bought some brake cleaner to clean the stabiliser.
I have also examined the pads and taken a photo.
Just wondering if it would be worth replacing the pads also.

Sometimes get a bit of groaning from ours but only on tight turns so I've left it alone. If it started doing it all the time I would give things a gentle rub with some wet and dry first and change the pads if that didn't cure it. Mine, Saab convertible

Mine started doing the same on my recent Scotland trip. I temporarily lifted the Alko handle (taking the grip pressure off) & the creaking stopped. Now home I have changed the 4 pads & problem sorted. Wow! Handle is a lot harder to fasten now!
