Scotland 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Santorini Black
FL2 HSE 08 Electric seat adjustment

The driver's seat on my FL2 seems to be playing up and will only move so far forward and then stops. It was ok when I set out this morning but I moved the seat back to stretch a bit whilst on the ferry. When I pressed the memory button to move it back to my normal driving postion it only moves a little way forward and stops. It will move back the whole way but not forward far enough to get back to it's usual position. Any clues anyone? Is there a manual over-ride?

If your sat with engine running you need to keep the button pressed

If stood next to car engine off single press will move it the the preset position

Or used the adjusters below the memory buttons

If you have tried this then my guess is something, (grit, dust, fluff) is jamming the thread they slide on Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

If only it were a bottle of Scotch. I could dispose of that quite easily!

I've tried the forward/backward adjuster but it will only move the seat so far forward before it stops. Maybe the thread; I'll have a good search under the seat when it's stopped snowing up here!

Thanks.

I am having the same problem - six years later... Nothing seems jamming the seat... But it won't go as far as it did before. Precisely the same phenomena!

Any Ideas?

Regards

Hy Yorky Bob,

Thanks for your useful reply... Laughing

Here the solution:

I went to my friendly landrover dealer. He connected his diagnosis laptop to the car and resetted the driver seat ECU. That did the trick.

Regards
