Hoping you can clear a couple of things up for me. I have a 2010 FL2 and am looking to upgrade the front bumper and possibly back to the newer shape with square fogs. Im a bit unsure as to what the exact different in models actually are.. I know the front bumper is completely different, but is there a difference to the back bumper and or side skirts? Also is the dynamic front bumper physically different to the normal new front or is it just colour coded in the middle bottom area? Tried to find exact changes but been unsuccessful. Thanks!

Ive also got a 2010MY and have just upgraded my boot handle and 3rd brake light to the facelift versions. Im planning on getting the front bumper upgraded as well, with newer style fog lights and lower spats.

The lower door panels are the same on all models of all years (except for the HST, Sport LE and Dynamic which are bonded on sills and bumper extensions)

the boot handle is pretty much a straight swap over, but you need to drill some extra holes to support the wider handle

the front bumper is a direct swap, with the obviously different fog light surrounds and also spats on the underside of the bumper either side to reduce splash in the wet

there are loads of guys on here have done the upgrade, all in costs in the region of £600 including parts, paint and fitting (if you don't fit it yourself)

Are you able to buy the front bumper from LR painted already? Just a thought, although I'm sure it'd be extortionate

So far it looks like I can buy a salvaged part for £150 and have it professionally sprayed for £200 which isn't too bad at all.

IIRC the exterior was facelifted in 2011MY (front bumper and rear handle mainly) with some very minor tweaks inside.

In 2013MY cars(so late 2012 onwards) the interior had the major facelift along with a few tweaks elsewhere (EPB for one)

Yes that is what Im saying also but what Im asking is which one is referred to as facelift and what is the other one referred to. LR Freelander 2 2014 metropolis SD4 auto in Loire Blue.

The Freelander was facelift in the spring of 2010, and the facelift included :-

New Front Bumper and grill
Fish Eye projector headlights
Clear rear lights instead of the red type
Green badges with silver lettering rather than gold.
Full width rear handle
Clear third brake light

The rear bumpers never changed in the Freelander 2's life. Nor did the rear reflectors.

I did the first full facelift back in 2010on my last Freelander 2.

Then in September 2012, the 2013MY facelift arrived :-

New Grill Surround
Brushed Aluminium ringed fog light surrounds
