full credit to CE for quitting - takes some balls quitting BBC's most popular show but even he must have realised it wasn't working with him fronting it. Matt Le Plank is a massive surprise for me, didn't expect to like him in it but he really does fit the show well - hope he becomes the main man now (albeit in the last few weeks he has been more and more the front man than chris evans). I'm also not liking Eddie Jordan - think he should stick to F1.

I hope they will bring Chris Harris to the front a bit more, I think he has the passion for it aswell. |

Both Guy Martin and David Coulthard turned down Top Gear slots. Having seen their " bonding" in the Channel 4 "Guy Martin's F1 Speed special" ( Guy and his buddy turned up in a van to test his BMW RR 1000 against DC and a full Red Bull works turnout ) the unlikely pairing of a Monaco millionaire, and the Lincolshire lad (who sold his v12 Aston because he prefers vans ) would still be a good one. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

I would have thought the fact that he prefers vans to a V12 Aston would kind of rule him out as an ideal TG presenter.... Steve

I've just finished reading Guy's latest book about where he gets asked about presenting Top Gear, and he said he'd never do it, he doesn't want to be a tv personality basically, and doesn't like all the attention it brings! Good on him I reckon! |

That's not the same Guy Martin who owns Guy Martin Proper Ltd is it - a media representation services company? Perhaps someone should tell him to keep off the telly if he doesn't like the attention - he's never bloody off it! Anyway, when are the three TG prat's supposed to be back on our telly's? Amazon or Netflix wasn't it? Anyone missing them? I'm not. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto Present: Audi A3 S Line. |

The Grand Tour starts next Friday night (18th) on Amazon. I read somewhere the opening credits are the mst expensive ever filmed. £2.5m. That's a lot of Amazon firesticks.......... |

I know that evans was annoying on the program, but prison seems a little excessive... |

I'm sure that there'll be plenty of barnacles that'll need stripping off the underside of the hull while the ship's at sea... |

I have yet to see the new Top Gear and wouldn't know where to look to find it. I am sure that I could if I tried but I can't be bothered so I wonder how many viewers they have lost this way? Does anyone know the viewing figures after the move? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
