I can't find specifically what it does on a FL2 but a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) heater is an electric heater that is automatically switched on below a pre-set temperature (often 10deg C) that heats either the engine water and/or oil and/or the air for the cabin heater. It gets the engine/cabin up to optimum temperature for emissions. Edit: From the AA link it appears that it's for cabin heating. |
