Electric vehicle charging points and planning permission.

The company I work for has recently applied for planning permission to build a new warehouse. It's location is in our works car park. I was looking at the notes tonight on the council website and the environmental officer at the council has recommended that one of the conditions for planning permission is to have electric vehicle charging points for 10% of the parking spaces. We have 19 spaces so I assume 2 will need charging points.

I find it interesting that the council can ask for such a condition, but I suppose this is a way of getting companies ready for when people start buying electric vehicles when the cost of such vehicles is at a price that people can afford. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

10% seems a bit high
I work for the NHS and we had a new car park built last year has about 70 spaces with 2 charging points
Maybe regs are different depending on the council?

Don't see too many electric cars here most of the time the spaces are filled by visitors Smile 2007 hse auto
