Never expected to be keeping the "Rover" as a long term car but due to the current LR range being built for hairdressers and shoppers he is going to be around for a long time to come.

Hi, check arround the tailgate door handle. Especially the ends. It's quite common for the handle to rub through the paint underneath. There is not a gasket between handle and paintwork.

There was a strip of stuck on foam on my 2007 fl2. It had compressed and slipped from its original position. Fleabay provided some foam and a couple of minutes work gave me a new gasket. |

I suspect that the real weak point in F2 long term ownership might prove to be the fact that they are normally diesel.

On a less depressing note, I am also thinking of waxoyling (in clear wax as the black stuff looks horrible) the F2.

To be fair, the D4's still there, so they arent all "hairdressers and shoppers" just yet. No guarantees for this time next year though.... |
