Parking sensors and electronic throttle.

Morning all,
Bit of advice if you may?
My FL2 took a nasty knock in a car park and had a long stint away being repaired, when I got it back the parking sensors (front and rear) weren't working, on ignition I get a long beep and then the light on the button flashes when you try to activate them. Currently arguing with the garage/insurance company to get it fixed but the diagnostics came back as a rear lighting module as the problem. Because the damage was to the front of her they're both denying it's anything to do with the accident so it looks like I'm going to have to fix it myself....... Mad

The garage has paid for a full check at the nearest LR dealer and they did a health check while it was there, I've added a pic of the results to the gallery

and was hoping someone here might be able to translate it to pleb speak for me?
The parking sensor problem is there and if it's just a module that needs swapping out i'm happy to try that myself, but it's also showing a problem with the electronic throttle ass(embly?) which sounds a bit more hardcore.... any one had either of these problems and done the work themselves? I'm pretty new to DIY maintenance but I'm willing to get my hands dirty if it saves me some £££

Cheers for your help

EDIT.... Pic actually attached! Rolling Eyes

Look on the good side, throttle body is relatively cheap and easy to do in a Saturday morning - while SWMBO is shopping/cleaning/sleeping.

The body does get some oil inside, it also has a carbon track and wipers to give a position indication to the engine ecu.
If they are dirty (more like when) they can give strange readings that the ecu will not like, it will not effect the running of the car - or even put the MIL (engine management light) on.
Eventually it will die, mine lasted over 130k, the sad bit is, if you rip out the butterfly and leave the rest of the gubbins in, the engine runs fine.

When mine died the nice man from the AA said "how brutal can I be" - I was stuck outside the mother-in-laws late at night !
He put a screwdriver strait through the unit, jamming the butterfly open - worked a treat, till I replaced it the following weekend. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner
