Bloody Cats !!!

So someone's bloody car has decided to use my lovely Freelander as a climbing frame.
My once pristine Black paint is now scratched to hell.
For the last few weeks the little s*** has used my doors and mirrors ,but this morning it looks like someone has drawn the map of the london underground on my bonnet. Most will buff out no doubt but lots won't.
Garage and car parking is out of line of sight to my house so i can't stand watch.
I don't see why my lovely car that i clean and polish should now be damaged by someones cat.

Any idea how to 'deter' the little Censored ? If i knew who's cat it was i'd make them pay for repairs.

That's the problem with furry bird shredders you can't hold the owners responsible most just turn them out to mess on other people's gardens I have a similar problem to you but not as bad

Try putting some cat food out a few metres away from the car to tempt it away from the car and place the food a bit further away every night. Or get a lady cat as a distraction.

Same here, my previous LR - a Disco - was used as a ladder by the local mog now park the FL2 right at the bottom of the drive so bloddy thing can't jump on it! Trouble is, that means it's less secure.

I don't think you can deter it but I might add some sort of feature in the garden which the cat can use to get off the garage roof easily, and see if it uses that instead.

My Saab roof has a permanent sag because it holds heat and the cats love to lay there. You can't watch it 24/7 and one of the cats that does it is ours. No scratches on the paintwork but there are always paw prints on the bonnet and boot and muddy streaks down the windscreen. Mine, Saab convertible

As an owner of cat for the past 5 years as well as having the neighbours two cats visit us daily I can honestly say I have never had any of them climb on either my car of my neighbours. Another solution would be to apply some pepper to where they tend to sit on your car.

I sympathise with the cat mess issue, when our cat was young it actually used to come into the house to use the litter tray, unfortunately I think she clocked our neighbours cats using other peoples gardens so she thought she could to the same..

I'm plagued by cats around my neck of the woods. It seems everyone's kids want a dog, but cant have one,m so nice mum and dad have got them a cat instead.

They dig up the veg patch, they've killed our rabbit, sit out at night making a racket, but not once have I found any indication that they have ever climbed onto a car.

How sure are you that its cats? I suppose if you seen them then it must be. Updated- Waiting for a Scotland v England 6 Nations home win. 24th Feb 2018

I have a dog but he has been trained never to chase anything but they come at night when the chuffing things have been turned out.
