Service indicator my2013

I've found loads of stuff on here for resetting the service indicator (garage forgot to do it) where it says insert the key etc...
Is it the same procedure for newer smart key cars? If so how do you do it? I would take it back but they've had it so long I would rather try myself if poss.
Many Thanks

Search says http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic25767.html? but that's for 2014MY onward.

I believe 2013MY back to 2011MY is only possible using SDD, or the DA Service Reset tool (maybe others?) 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers

Cant be done on a MY13 at home unless you have the kit. Not right good when you are up the desert or in a swamp Mr Land Rover. Whistle

Got a local indi to change the oil and filter recently and did the rest of the service myself. He reset the service indicators (date and usage) giving me a stamp in the service book for a lube service. Save enough to be worth it but a pain in the bum. Yawn FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
