Fitted new discs and pads a few weeks ago .
Drove yesterday to work and feels as if the pedal is traveling along now had a scout round no leaks anywere and fluid level is still were it should be.
Am i being paranoid lol

If you have left the caliper tensioning springs off, or bent them, or they are weak, that will give you that symptom. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

With the vehicle stationary, do they pump up? Possible air in the system? I've had it before when pushing piston calipers back that they needed bleeding again - sort of upset the master cylinder seals. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

I would say air too just bleed them it may sort it out. Maybe an idea to change the fluid at the same time.

New discs and pads cost you a few quid I guess, plus time and effort so for around £10 treat her to new brake fluid as well.

When stationary if i pump the peddle it gets harder with every pump ?

I know you said you had new pad retaining springs but just check 'em again. If weak, missing or fitted incorrectly, the caliper 'tilts' and pads are not square on the disc. The first bit of pedal travel is spent straightening the pads up before they bite. Have a look at the caliper while someone else pumps the pedal. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Well other than fitting my freel2 window sticker this morn ive been a busy boy.
Put another set of retaining clips on the back pads and changed the brake fluid and now seems to be sorted . No excessive travel anymore
So glad ive got a 4 post lift in my garage !!!
