Poorly Car

Well after only saying last week that my lovely FreeL2 had seen me through 6 years today it is very poorly. Was just driving and ll of sudden it wouldn't pull.

AA been out and air filter has imploded and debris all in engine. Going to call Green Oval tomorrow in Gildersdome and see if they will take a look.

Report gives 3 error codes:

P02E1 Mass/Volume Air Flow Circuit Malfunction
P02E7 Intake air flow
P02E9 Inflow air flow valve position

Cross fingers it isn't too expensive!

When was the filter last changed?

My Peugeot 504 had a steel wool air filter coated in oil. Brilliant piece of technology, a bit of a clean & is was up & running again. No parts to replace. The engine was perfectly ok after 230,000 km. It was 25 years old & living by the sea the rust got to the body eventually. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Possible cause of implosion could be that the filter has got wet after driving through water over depth or at speed, or enthusiastic washing of the near side (uk) vent on the front wing. There is a rudimentary valve on the bottom of the air filter box. It could be missing allowing water in.
