Screen Video Recording On MacBook Pro

Got an early 2011 MacBook Pro and was trying to find out how to record video from the screen with Quick Time Player , done a search and it shows opening QTP then choosing recording from screen .
On mine that option is greyed out and only audio recording and movie recording is available (movie recording is my mush from the built in camera) .


Any ideas ?
