Tailgate making hammering sound and wont open

My FL2 2008 since this morning refusing to open the tailgate, when pressing the FOB key or the tailgate button i am getting an hammering sound which indicate solenoid is suck.

The biggest problem i have now is to lock my car since the car indicate tailgate is open so it will not lock, any tips how to quickly release the tailgate? i am sure that after i will open it a good spray of oil will probably fix it.

In the link you can see for yourselves

Do a search under "Tailgate latch fixed...." It's all there.

That's right. Fold down rear. Seats, remove false floor panel. Unbolt latch staple in sill & open tailgate complete with sill plate and trim panel if my memory is right. Good luck!

and 3 hours later

It is not straightforward to remove the inner trim since it is going around the lock so i am afraid it is a work of bending and praying nothing will crack under pressure.
I connected the motor back and gave one push on the micro switch, from that moment i can lock my car again although the rear can not be open from outside until replacement will arrive.

PN is LR014184

Not that I know of. I can see you are in Germany, but you could still try Forum Sponsors Dan at Duckworth Parts. He tries to be competitive on prices. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)
