Reset ECU - When changing Throttle body

Hi All

First of thanks for such a great community site, I have spent many hours here and never actually created an account, but here I am now.

I am just a little stuck so need your help if at all possible?

I have been having a problem when accelerating at speed, all power shut down and i get the "reduced power" warning on the dash. I took it to my local LR dealer here and they told me the throttle body needs to be replaced. This is a job I am more than capable of doing myself, however I am unsure whether the ECU or TPS will needed to be reset afterwards?

Do any of you know the answer ?

I didn't reset anything when I changed mine. Never had any problems after either. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.

Thanks for the replies, I had already read up on the process to change the part, however because it is electronically controlled I was just a little fearful that I had to reset something.

Think i remember reading that it does a 'Learn' process when changed. Worst case scenario you will need to clear fault code but could try hard reset for this. Do you know what dtc is showing? 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

Are you sure it is your throttle body as a split turbo hose will give the same symptoms? If your throttle body is going then your shutdown will run on longer and may splutter. If your turbo hose is split you may get excessive smoke under acceleration.
