Diagnostic whilst back in the UK

Hi all, I'm trying to organize a visit to a good Independant Land Rover garage as I need my Freelander 2 electrical gremlin(s) sorted. Tried to identify it with my icarsoft but I keep getting mixed messages so I need a 'proper' diagnostic from a reputable garage. The Stealer over here is unreliable so I'm hoping to get something organized on my trip back...

Does anyone know of, or can recommend, a garage that is anywhere close to Ashford, on the M11 corridor or east of London? I just need a drop in visit, wait around, and plug in and conformation of error message(s) on a more comprehensive code reader. Only dead fish go with the flow

You could try Taylors of Dunmow, not far off M11

Probably need to make an appointment though.

Do you have a nulber/contact for Bromley please?

Had to laugh, this is the only review I found for Taylors - 2009, and just one opinion..

"When i purchased my renault car a short time ago, I thought it would be a good idea to use a main dealer for services and MOT's.
When the MOT was due to expire, i duly took my car to this main dealers in great dunmow, in the hope i would get a good, reliable service. Sadly I was wrong!
I left my car with them in the morning and phoned in the evening to find out how it had got on to be told it had failed and had several borderline problems. I was facing a massive bill for a car i had only recently bought!
To cut a long story short a second opinion and retest at a different garage quartered the original quote from taylors car care centre!
I have to say, the whole experience left me shocked that a main dealer could be so 'wrong' .... i would never use them again and would recomend against them!"

I've sent them an email so hopefully they will get back with some useful information. Only dead fish go with the flow

Had my visit yesterday, excellent service. They are real Land Rover 'enthusiasts' and Fred is an ex-Land Rover main dealer mechanic so knows his stuff. Thoroughly recommend to anyone needing a good independant garage.

Fred (the owner), Lyndon (mechanic) and Cas at reception couldn't have been more helpful. Managed to isolate my electrical gremlin to the wheel hub bearing sensor. Only dead fish go with the flow
