Nothing to do with lag.

I think I know what your talking about, I have the same, if I reverse a long way the car goes then stops repeatedly when the accelerator is held at a constant position. It is so annoying. You get launch control about 20 times trying to reverse 10 meters. I had the parking module reset which fixed it for a shot time but now the car does it again. The only way I can reverse smoothly is to press the accelerator up and down gently, this takes getting used to!. |

Every automatic car I have had for the last 20 years has had a delay before the drive kicks in. I thought it was due to the fluid flywheel spinning up. My son's Porsche 911 has a PDK autobox which uses clutches and there is absolutely no lag but that's a totally different type of gearbox. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Had same issue on mine, made reversing a caravan quite tricky or reversing up my outlaws drive very much a stop start affair. Rev, rev, nothing, then a bit more and wallop, off I shot too quickly. Pain in the ar@e.

I've had it happen a few times, on particular slopes in one car park - the best way I've found to overcome it is to switch to GGS mode - gives a more dampened throttle which makes it easier to avoid the jerkiness. 2011 SD4 HSE Auto (Previously 2007 TD4 XS Manual) |

I reverse uphill onto my drive. Was a bit tricky to start with but now do it with no problems without thinking about it. It's like learning a different type of clutch control. |
