Just order a brand new lago grey GS Freelander 2 tonight after 5 years of being in the Jaguar X-TYPE club,so its back to the Land Rover world again after an 8 year break, so just have to wait 3 weeks weeks now for delivery i will post pics as soon as it arrives in the mean time i will get study the forum with interest.

Might be here sooner but they need to transfer my personal plate over from my Jag but a big thumbs up the Marshalls at Peterboro so far.

Always the snag with private plates, Dvla are keen to take your cash but then do nothing to help the transfer run rapidly.
I actually did the transfer myself last time so I could give the dealer my retention certificate and avoid delays..sadly things went awry and I ended up waiting a further 4 mths for a new car...with my number on retention and some cheapo illegal ebay plates on my old Audi (displaying the correct number but not dvla standard plates, they were only supposed to be on for a week!) At work

Took my dealer 7 weeks... was it a "stock" car or is it exactly to your spec?

Its a stock car already built,and will be delivered to the dealers by the end of next week, the waiting time is due to the transfer of my own reg plate, otherwise the freelander is a standard GS model and not being built from new.

3 weeks is nothing!

I ordered mine in June and delivery is mid October!

The deal get better another £750 knocked of today also included mats,no fee for my reg transfer and a full tank of diesel well done to Marshalls at peterboro. pays to shop around the dealers looks like they need the trade.

4 months only! When I was looking to buy my Porsche they quoted 8-10 months for it to get here, which when you are only looking at staying 3-5 years somewhere is a lifetime, which is why I went used. Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!

Grey is really off black, where instead of two coats of black paint, they just spray one for poor people who like the full blavck but can't afford it. Anyway, trying to hide it by saying black is pants wont wash, so don't kid on it's a different colour.
