I'm selling my Freelander 2 as had to get more suitable car due to my commute going from 7 miles a day to 90. It is huge spec for an XS and is in fantastic condition inside and out. Will be sad to see her go.

I think your problem is the mileage, even though it is a great looking car and apparently in really good condition.

At 122k it is heading close to the mega service at 150k involving diff fluids, auto box fluid, cam belt + ancillaries etc etc which will come close to £1500 at a guess.

However at your current price, even adding on the upcoming service costs it is still a good buy and in a nice rare colour . Have you advertised it in auto trader etc ? might have more luck on there.

Yeah its everywhere. In the general terms most similar cars (age/model) have over 100k at the mo and most are around the 10k mark. I have just seen one today same as mine but without some of the extras at 96k for £9800 which is why I have dropped again.

I did not know about the 150 service though, so maybe that is a factor. Big issue for me is I am getting to the trade price I was offered 3 weeks ago and told him to go away, maybe a mistake!

have a look at we buy any car .com and get their price bracket then use that as a negotiating tool with the dealer if possible.

this month the new car dealers would have been flooded with part ex cars and a lot will have been off loaded to independent garages so the market isn't the best at the minute, and with moving into summer then the prices of 4x4 always fall.

if the commute is now 90 miles a day, is it not worth keeping the car if your still happy with it ?

Already replaced it, hence the need to sell! I may take some of the bits off it and sell them like the drls (interested?) and then go back to the dealer.

Im hoping to fit the fog light DRL's when I hopefully update my front bumper....... hopefully

strip off what you can if its going to the dealers, and sell it on here, even put a cheaper set of wheels/tyres on if you can as they wont even look at them
