2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Zermatt Silver
Headlining / headliner removal

Hi all,

Has anyone ever taken the headliner out of their FL2?

I've got a wee project in mind that will require it to be taken out but have no idea how it's held in (glue, clips etc) or removed. I couldn't find any posts describing how it might be done, and topix doesn't say how it can be done.

Any thoughts appreciated before I attack it and make a mess!

Cheers

Haynes manual says its clipped in place and is one piece, also says removal, once the door seals, grab handles etc have been taken off, is not difficult just time consuming, and wear cotton gloves so you dont get finger marks on it.

Its held in by push in clips and some screws via the grab handles etc, no glued bits., you need to remove the A,B C and D pillars. Its not a bad job but I seem to remember having a right pig of a job getting the B pillars back in, it just seemed impossible to line up.

I never took mine out completely just lowered it.

^^+1 for gloves of some sort. I used some disposable latex jobbies.
