Where to find 12v +-

Can any member tell me if I can pick up a 12v feed from in or near the interior mirror dome light area, want to fit a cam without the wires dangling.

Also the same on the rear window?

any live feeds will do but would prefer Ignition switched.

If the only way is via the fuse box are there spare fuses / Aux/ connections or do I have to piggy back a fuse.

Thanks

available options will often depend on the model year of your car.

Idea Just a Thought Doesn't the Free Lander have sunroof electrical wires fitted to all wiring looms even thought not all models have them. If there is wiring you could take the switched live from there as its only ignition live.

Mine has a sun roof, was hoping some member would know cable's to look for and colour codes,

Don't want to have to re-invent the wheel.

Best bet is to run the wire down passenger a pillar and use a poggy back fuse to get power from fusebox in passenger footwell

That's what I did then ran it behind Passenger's sunshade and dropped it down to my Cam sitting just behind the rear view mirror. All you can see is the Little drop to the camera.

Well that's about the most practical suggestion so far, anyone know the colour codes for the sunroof? I have a Haynes manual on order but waiting arrival.
