Number plate lights not working when engine is running

Hi there,

I've noticed tonight that neither of my number plate lights are working. It can't be the bulbs as when u unlock the car and the side lights come on they work fine. But for some strange reason they don't work when the side lights or head lights are switched on. Any ideas as to what it could be as I can't see a fuse for them. I should add that they are led bulbs if that wud cause an issue??

Cheers
James

Bit of an update, the number plate lights work when u unlock the car. They also work if u put the headlights on without the engine running. Even with just the ignition on they work. But the minute u physically start the engine they go off and refuse to come back on??? Big Cry

All fixed. It was the LED bulbs as I've been out this morning to put normal bulbs back in and works fine now.

Maybe the LED bulbs you had in didnt have a resistor in them so that the system recognises them as standard bulbs?

Yeah I'm assuming it's something to do with the power consumption. It's just bizzare as they only stopped working when u started the engine. Oh well I'll avoid the led bulbs in future lol.
