When jokes backfire

This is causing quite a stir in the net, electricians laugh at it for what it is, however, there is also a good number of people up in arms stating it will cause serious injury or death.
Do we need disclaimers on comedy now?

Yes every one knows you need two kinks in the wire to stop the flow , This doesnt work on caravan lpg hose, to work on that simply wrap the hose in a petrol soaked rag At work

Ah, thanks Taz. Now I understand; electricity is in fact smoke in a tube! Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Rolling with laughter Bit close to home.
I've seen that before; I worked for Lucas for 37 years and we had a good laugh at the Harness smoke.
Of course, nothing could be further from the truth. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Does anyone know if cordite fuses are still in use? Back in the 60's I was doing a student job and there was a big DC power supply unit for an electroplating bath. One day there was an almighty bang and the lights went out. It seems that a cordite fuse had gone off. The idea being that the explosion stops any arching when heavy DC currents are broken. Place full of smoke and a bit scary if you didn't know about these things. Shocked 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
