This is causing quite a stir in the net, electricians laugh at it for what it is, however, there is also a good number of people up in arms stating it will cause serious injury or death.

Yes every one knows you need two kinks in the wire to stop the flow , This doesnt work on caravan lpg hose, to work on that simply wrap the hose in a petrol soaked rag At work |

Does anyone know if cordite fuses are still in use? Back in the 60's I was doing a student job and there was a big DC power supply unit for an electroplating bath. One day there was an almighty bang and the lights went out. It seems that a cordite fuse had gone off. The idea being that the explosion stops any arching when heavy DC currents are broken. Place full of smoke and a bit scary if you didn't know about these things. |
