Hi Sergio, keep us updated. Took a few miles before I noticed real improvements. Really glad I blanked.

All EDC16 ECUs can be fully blanked without any warning lights or error codes.

Yes, I Know but if you surf the web you can find a lot of wrong info..."you cannot blank because of dpf".."you cannot blank because of the MIL will switch in" and blablabla...but NOBODY tried with a DPFed car. I tried: The 2007 freelander with dpf CAN be fully blanked w/o warning lights. I tried also the restrictor plate ![]() |

I have just blanked my 2007 egr. Took me a while to find a plate in South Africa, in the end I had one made, so had 10 made at the same time in case any one else needs. It is the complete blank plate.

JGH, to be honest, I don't notice driving differences and/or different engine response: maybe a better pick from low rpm but I think the placebo effect have more influence than the blanking plate ![]() The mpg it's almost the same, the DPF regenerates as it should so, in conclusion, the car runs fine like the EGR pre-blanking. Glad that no more soot comes in my intake manifold ![]() |

Had the same experience, i guess that if your EGR is functioning correctly to start with you feel nothing |

Hi Sergio, you may be right on the performance. It could, as you say, be wishful thinking.

Done the full blank all seems ok, no warning lights (Dec 2009 reg my10 ) 😃 Hopefully the mpg will now improve along with running much smoother . |
