United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Indus Silver
Interior dash trim

Hello,

I bought an 07 freelander2 today, after much deliberation and weeks of hunting on auto trader for a durable family car..
I have a 56 plate 07 se model. After a faultless 240 mile drive to visit the in laws I'm really happy with it!
It's in good shape but I feel a couple of things let it down and would appreciate any help in resolving them, I have searched the web to no avail...

1) I'd like to replace the scratched rubber trim below the sat nav.
2) the door handles are faded, is there anyway to return them to black, or if not can they be replaced at a reasonable cost?
3) it has halt leather and electric seats but I did miss an arm rest on the long drive.. I have felt the sides of the seats an there seems to be a hold behind the leather where the arm rests would go. Can they be retrofitted?

Any advise would be greatly received!

Thanks, rikki.[/quote]

Hi and welcome to the forum Thumbs Up

Answers to your questions:
1) try refurbish with trim revival products such as 'back to black'.
If that fails you can always buy new from LR.
2) try same as above, if not you can spray them whatever colour you fancy - black, titanium, silver, body colour etc.
3) don't reckon you can retrofit the armrests, your best bet is buying a centre cubby box with armrest.
One of the best mods to bring it upmarket (a pic in my gallery)

Thumbs Up FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,

you might want to think carefully before buying and fitting the central cubby box idea as an arm rest as I don't find it any use at all for this purpose. It's simply too low and too far back (even when extended as far forward as it will go). They do hold a large amount of bits and pieces though so are useful in that respect.

To the contrary, I find it ideally positioned.
I also have the choice of using the seat armrests or the cubby box armrest.
Could possibly depend on one's height and seat position.
So best bet would be to try one out before you buy. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

I'm with Ron, it's a great piece of kit, I had it in my previous GS Thumbs Up well worth the money, go for it.
