Spec Check - A.F.S. Headlights and Double Power Socket Rear

Hi all

Just bought myself a 56 plate MY2007 i6 HSE and very pleased so far. I contacted the original dealer who sold it, with my reg and VIN and asked for a spec breakdown which they supplied.

It says it's got A.F.S. Headlights and Double Power Socket Rear.

Firstly regarding the double power socket ... where is it! I have a socket at the front of the centre console and a socket near the rear of the console next to the 3.5mm aux port. Should there be more somewhere?

Also re A.F.S. The car wasn't advertised to have A.F.S. so seeing this on the spec excited me. When I start her up with the lights on I can see a bit of a twitch on the lights. They are deffo the "eyeball" xenons. The A.F.S. warning lamp lights on the dash then goes out. Does this mean for certain that is does indeed have A.F.S.?

Thanks for any help

G

There is a power socket in the boot too.
And if its got steerable headlights switch them on in the dark and moving the steering wheel from side to side, the lights should follow the wheel direction?

The twitch you say is the Xenon lights levelling, all xenons do this.

Thanks

Can't see a power socket in the boot.

Also nothing when I turn the steering in the dark when stationary, however the manual says A.F.S. is disabled when stationary. The twitch certainly seems more left/right than up/down.

Confused Confused

Just a thought, but the double rear power sockets, could they be twin towing electrics?

I doesn't have a tow-bar fitted, but you could be right. Having had the car for 3 days this is all new to me. Very Happy

Get registered on TOPIx for free and then look up your vehicle by vin... You will get a factory build sheet / details.

The boot 12v power point is on the near side 'wall' towards the tail gate end of the boot if it is fitted.

Topix build and spec info is only for later cars, MY13 and later I believe.

TOPIx certainly had the build for my 59 plate (MY10) car... The little icon next to the printer icon opens up the full spec sheet for that car - just checked it again Thumbs Up

Must be some anomaly in there somewhere Confused My MY10 TD4e never showed up the build, never tried my MY11 but my MY13 does, others with earlier models have posted the printer icon being greyed out. Perhaps its from MY10 and onwards Thumbs Up
