United Kingdom 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Lago Grey
Hello, newbie with a quick question please

Hello, I've just purchased, but not yet collected a FL2 td4 gs auto 2012. I've noticed that it doesn't have front fogs but I haven't seen many like this as most have fogs. Was this an optional extra on the 2012 model and is it easy to do a retro fit into the square type recesses in the bumper ?
Sorry if this is a silly question.
Meant thanks.

Scotland 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Fuji White

Front Fog lamps were definitely dropped as standard on GS 2013MY cant be certain about 2012.
If your car has heated leather seats and electronic handbrake it is a 2013MY. All FL2's (3) Gone
2011 Mercedes C180 CGI Gone
FL2 GS Auto SD with heated leather, factory tints, alloy spare and a few other bits.

Thought it was model year, so you can have a 2010 MY but registered in September 2009, as also a 2009 MY registered in September, Next years MY's tend to be on sale from early to the middle of September, the current MY tend to stop production at the end of July and the next year MY production set up and start production in August depending on the upgrade specification. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
2012 HSE SD4 In Orkney Grey now gone, best car ever.

The MY13 was a major upgrade, with a lot of differences. The easiest way to tell on the GS - it doesn't have satnav as standard: The earlier model will have a cubby hole in the centre of the dash (where you can easily fit a cheap satnav - search the forum) but the MY13 will have a function screen in the same place, making it impossible to retrofit a satnav.
That is unless it came with satnav as optional extra, which would be quite unusual, I think. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.
