Stuck behind this freelander in plymouth smoky.

I was stuck behind this Freelander in traffic in heavy rain yesterday at times I could not see due to the grey clouds of smoke. The first thing that came to mind might cause this is a blocked crank case breather PCV valve. Whistle

Will need a new turbo soon if it's not replaced! Sadly BMW only told LR about the breather filter is a replaceable item in 2007. BMW E36's are bad for popping turbos and this problem was passed onto the LR also. The early X5 and L322 diesels also have the same filter. Believe it or not BMW orginally claimed that this filter is not a replaceable item and will last the life of the engine. Thud

40k miles Shocked

I do that a year Laughing

That said, my Freelander has done less than 1,000 miles this year. Which is odd, as it's brilliant fun to drive Mr. Green
