After 5 years

After 5 very happy years of motoring in my Freely, I've pulled the trigger on a new Range Rover Evoque, in Firenze Red. The Freely has been a tremendous, reliable, enjoyable drive and keeping a car for 5 years is a first for me and so staying with the LR family feels right, but bye bye Freely, it's been nice knowing you! Thumbs Up ...

Did you have any major or unexpected issues with it and how many miles did you do in the 5 years.?

I ask because I bought my first F2 last year (62 GS with 22K on it) and wondering if I'll get a wallet bashing.

My Disco 300 tdi on the other hand is no trouble - er except oil leaks and threat of terminal rust !!

Five years:

50,000 miles
1 set of tyres

Enjoy, it's a nice little car.

I was amongst the first adopters and it was a surreal experience, people stopping and staring. Park it in a car park and come out to see people around it. It was just completely different to any Land Rover that had went before.

I assume your one will have the Ingenium engine? 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Yep Ingenium 2.0L ... seems quieter, more refined than the 2.2L ... and lower CO2 / fuel consumption (although I've always been pleased with the economy on the FL2, coming after a very thirsty NMW X3...) ...

I made the move three months ago. Apart from having a bit less room in the boot (which fortunately, we didn't need) it's a cracking car. I may miss the opening sunroof come the warmer weather though. A bit more of a sporty drive than the FL2. Well mine is with the Magneride suspension. Very Happy Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.
