Thought - add a dedicated Discovery Sport area to the forum

Just a thought - given that over time I suspect quite a few of us will, or already have migrated onto a DS

This way we can keep this community, and the chit chat in one space.
Perhaps, redirect the existing beta DS forum URL to here, and rebrand this sites banner?

Obviously standard rules around vans, and chrome @rse pieces will apply.

Bit of a clue in the title of the Forum really - FREELANDER 2 otherwise it's just going to become yet another motoring forum and there are plenty of them out there already

At least you're asking about a LR product, not like previous members wanting a section for his Nissan Laughing

Dedicated forum section already exists....

I'm a member of discosport and there's more discussion of the DS here than there! I'm in favour of a DS area, but there's a clear resistance amongst the mods.

I to am a member of discosport, yet sadly, there is minimal activity there.
One new member this month, and they havnt posted.

I had to join another DS forum to get information on software versions on the Meridian HDD NAV in order to identify which variants did, and did not have the off road nav feature.

My logic around suggesting we add a more detailed sub forum here for the DS was simple, it would allow us (this forum) to maintain the existing Freel2 members as and when (if) they purchase a DS, and we wouldnt have to re-register etc

More members = more posts = better community ~ better sponsorship...

I understand the logic behind fragmenting the forums into vehicle type, but that would be easily achievable by having one site / url with sub forums for all the LR brand vehicles. Having more members in one place must be better.......

No problem with having a "seperate" forum for those thinggies. One can join more than one forum. I read and contribute on Freel2 just as much as Disco3 and dont have a Freelander! Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!

There's always the generic forum:

It's not resistance from mods, we would be happy, at the moment we keep binning everything into 'off topic', there are many who want Freel2 to be Freelander centric, which it is.
Martin was asked, many months ago, by me, to create a DiscoSport topic, I was told no as another forum was coming along, which it has and has been stated, there is more talk on here Confused

I won't ask again as in reality the talk should be over on www.discosport.com, maybe post on here with a link to the thread on there will help it get off its knees?

Two individual cars, two individual forums.

All Disco Sport talk should go in the Disco Sport sticky or forum. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Could I suggest the the Freel2 site..and all the other sites in the family include a link to the Discosport one so forum users actually stand a chance of knowing it exists. All the other forums have a link but not discosport. That might help eradicate the tumble weed that keeps blowing through it Very Happy

On your iPad, you have a list of forums at the bottom of the main page, scroll left and discosport is there, off the side Thumbs Up
