Today I have driven the FL2 and noticed when I push the key fob in (and before I press the start button) I hear a motor noise from the front nearside of the engine compartment, sounds a bit like a steam engine - the noise does not disappear or alter once the engine has fired up and the car drives ok, with no warning lights etc. When I switch off, the noise will quickly and gradually go and all is quiet - but if I leave the fob in, the noise will then return.

Any views?

Throttle body, quite normal if you have no other symptoms.

Sorry don't know the intricacies of the unit but I think this is normal, if your car is running ok then this should be okl. I've just replaced mine as it was causing a few symptoms, there are a few threads on here about it.
