I've a ratel lh side sounds like it's behind the dash
At About 1500 rpm under load even very light load
I can't find the xxxx thing
Any ideas please 2008 xs

You mean a noise like a rattle?
Land Rovers have them built in as standard.

All that off-roading shaking something loose?
Which part of the dash?

Not so much a ratel as a vibration type noise

I've tried driving it with the glove box removed
I've had a good look a round
If something is lose I just want it to fall off now  2008 xs

If you have a 'ratel', you could be in for some expensive surgery. They really don't like it when you disturb them.😂

Front left could be the screw/bolt behind the exterior air intake, comes loose and rattles and can be heard inside Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I had a rattle in my last FL2, it drove me nuts for weeks. All I could tell is that it was coming from the passenger-side, even had the wife checking and she found it a broken pic pen in the pen holder of the glovebox. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

Design feature.

I've had one on the front right dash, then after I booted it it moved to the front left. Then went up to the sunroof and now I have stereo as one has appeared in the boot area.

I have a technical solution I shall share - turn the volume knob on the radio

p.s. you would expect the build quality on such a car to be better

Never had a ratel in mine ,
Nor any babies no seat,s for the little darlings did offer to "Rachet " one down in the boot
once but was met by cries of nasty old Bu***r ..!! Wales
Were the mud is thicker, and the ruts are deeper.
(And we have the water to wash it off, and more on the way..! )

I used to have an annoying light rattle on the passengers side in the first month of ownership ..... drove me crazy!
Ended up driving with a rubber tipped stick so I could prod the suspected bits.
Turned out it was the little round 'tweeter' speaker at door mirror level.
Bit of twiddling and all was sorted.
 FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

Obvious question but is the rattle there when you have a passenger? I had a slight rattle on passenger side which turned out to be the seatbelt clip vibrating against the side of the seat when it was unclipped
